When it came to controversial subject matter, the program director was almost completely fearless. The hotter the conversation, the more he liked it. Real exciting radio. In spite of beating my direct competitor (who happened to have a heritage talker to prop him up), the station decided to lean more toward sports, picking up (and it ain't easy) the "Fabulous Sports Babe". Her numbers never turned out to be that fabulous. My former competitor regained the lead in the timeslot by default. I was in Kansas by the time they dropped her, and yes, I did hear the thud. WGR
